Main Score Calculation
Formula: Main Score = ÎŁ(Factor Value Ă— Weight) / ÎŁ(Weight)
This is a weighted average of all 18 factors.
Each factor is rated 1-10, where 1 = Very Apathetic and 10 = Very Outraged.
The result is rounded to a whole number (1-10).

Amplifiers (Experimental)
Amplification Factor (Volume)
Formula: ROUND( SQRT(Media Ă— Action) Ă— 2 )
Range: 2-10
Measures the "blast radius" of the controversy
Growth Potential
Formula: Media Ă— (5 - Action) + Action Ă— (5 - Media)
Range: 0-20
Measures imbalance between media coverage and grassroots action.
High potential = energy waiting to manifest (could escalate)
Low potential = energy is already manifesting (active controversy or dormant)
Action Plan Generation
When any factor scores 8 or higher (Somewhat or Very Outraged), the tool generates specific Sandman-based strategies for addressing that factor.
These are not communication tactics—they are organizational transformations. The goal is to stop doing the things that provoke outrage, not to explain them better.
